India ended February with 697 million GSM subscribers, following net customer adds of 9.59 million during the month, representing an increase of 1.40 percent from the previous month, according to figures from the Cellular Operators Association of India (Coai). Airtel led subscriber additions in February, adding 3.07 million GSM users in the month, followed by Idea (2.70 million), Vodafone (1.95 million) and Aircel (900,000). Airtel had over 223.1 million GSM users at end-February, followed by Vodafone (182.4 million), Idea (155.4 million), Aircel (80.5 million), Uninor (45.1 million), Videocon (6.9 million), and MTNL (3.4 million)
